And Another One... posted on 01/07/2010
I'll make this post short and straight forward. Eleven losses in a row. Will that be tweleve? Then thirteen? Who knows. I think all Pistons fans are experiencing the same feeling of disappointment and frustration. It's really unfortunate that the Pistons have such talented players who just can't get the chemistry right. With the many injuries from the start of the season to the new roster and coach, there is adjustment to be made. We all knew it wouldn't be easy, but I'm not sure anybody expected it to be this difficult. This season seems to be a trial and error experiment, mostly error. It's painful to see the Pistons constantly losing this season, game after game. People have been telling me that I need to pick a new team, but I will stay a Pistons fan, regardless of how horrible this se

Welcome Back Rip! posted on 12/12/2009

For starters, welcome back Rip Hamilton! With an impressive 18 points this game against the Golden State Warriors, Rip made sure his return was not overseen. Although Rip was the talk of the game, Rodney Stuckey was the point leader with an impressive 29 points this game.

Rodney Stuckey has proven that he is not a rookie anymore. He is much more consistent in his shot and now has found a place as a leader of the team. This team has definitely changed since winning the 2004 Finals, but it's a great way to start over. Stuckey has found his place and so have Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon. The three rookies all had playing time this game and showed that they have potential. Jonas Jerebko had a few amazing plays, shots and assists, and Austin Daye showed his confidence as he took a chance when he scored tonight. Jerebko and Daye are shining, but Dajuan Summers seems to be left behind. It's a question whether his lack of playing time is due to his lack of skill or adjustment to the NBA, but Jerebko and Daye are taking the spotlight.

Who does Ron Artest think he is? posted on 12/02/2009

There's no need for a clever title for this one. This isn't exactly 100% relevant to the Pistons, but I felt the need to post a few reason why Ron Artest has the reputation he has.

1. The Pistons brawl was already a reason to hate Artest, but the fact that he admitted in an interview that he still holds a grudge and wants to fight brings him to an ultimate low.

“I see Ben, I’m on my guard now. I’m always in the mood to fight him. … I’ll get suspended 10 games, 15 games (because) I’ll just fight him right there. It won’t go into the stands.”

2.  Regardless of who it is, it is not responisble for a professional sports player to be intoxicated during a game, practice, or anything related to his career. Artest admits to his habit and acts as if it weren't a big deal.

Pistons, you're TAY-ring up my heart. posted on 11/26/2009

After 6 consecutive losses and a 5-10 record so far, will the Pistons be able to come back?

A big question in mind is that if Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamilton were playing, would the number of losses be less than it is right now. It's a very hypothetical question because the chemistry of the team would be completely different. If we look at the team we have playing now, they started off strong, became shaky, and now are losing to every team they play. The losses haven't even been by a landslide. It's not the skill level that's not sufficient, but the little things in the game. That free throw someone missed, that rebound someone could have got, or lack of full effort all 48 minutes are what caused the losses.

Every game is an opportunity to redeem themselves because there isn't a team out there that is impossible to beat. It's about how badly the Pistons want that win. They have the potential and all the components to be a threat to every other team in the league; they just haven't shown it yet. Come on, Pistons! Let's see some passion out on the court and some wins, because quite frankly all these losses are tearing up my heart.

Superman can't hold up against the Pistons posted on 11/03/2009

WOW! I wish I can go to a game at the Palace at least once in my lifetime. I bet it was crazy in there tonight! This was one of the most exciting games I have seen in a while! With Rip and Tayshaun out, I thought the Pistons' chances for a win became increasingly slimmer. People are wondering if this game will give Dumars the push to trade Rip and Tay, but all the trading rumors are, well, rumors. The teamwork and determination from the start lasted through the whole 48 minutes. Everybody stepped it up tonight!

Congratulations to Austin Daye for his first points in his NBA career! What a good way to start off! Detroit's rookies are looking good out there; there's a lot of potential. Jonas Jerebko got to start in place of Tayshaun tonight and definitely took his role seriously. One question though, where is Dajuan Summers? Daye and Jerebko are getting a lot of attention, but have we forgotten about the other rookie the Pistons picked out? I'd like to see what Summers has in him.
